Who this app is for
Vmentor is an internal app for Vedantu teachers and Vedantu staff. Only people with a Vedantu work email who are registered teachers (or invited admins) can sign in. It is not intended for students, parents or the public.
What we collect
- Your work account: your Vedantu email address and name, and a securely hashed password if you choose email sign-in. We never store your password in readable form.
- App activity: which screens you open and actions you take in the app (for example, opening a session or requesting an audit report), with the app version, platform and a random device identifier. We use this to improve the app and to measure its adoption.
- Feedback you send from the app, including any rating and message.
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, microphone, advertising identifiers, or payment information. Fingerprint or Face ID unlock happens entirely on your device; Vmentor never receives your biometric data.
Teaching data we show you
Vmentor displays information Vedantu already holds about your own classes: schedules, session ratings, which students attended (first names only), and audit reports of your demo classes against Vedantu's teaching rubric. Audit reports are generated from the class recording by Vedantu's AI systems (Google Gemini) and are used for coaching. We do not show student or parent phone numbers or email addresses.
How we use it
- To sign you in and keep your account secure.
- To show you your sessions, ratings and audit reports.
- To help Vedantu's teaching-quality team support teachers, and to understand how the app is used.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who can see it
Your data is visible to you and to authorised Vedantu Vmentor admins. It is stored on Google Cloud in India (asia-south1) and processed by our service providers (Google Cloud, Google Gemini) only to run the app.
Security
All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS). Sign-ins are limited to Vedantu work emails of registered teachers and admins, passwords are hashed, and admins can reset a login and sign a lost device out at any time. You can also lock the app with your phone's fingerprint, Face ID or screen lock.
How long we keep it
Account and app-activity data is kept while you use Vmentor and deleted when you delete your account. Audit reports of your classes are part of Vedantu's teaching-quality records and are kept under Vedantu's internal retention policy.
Deleting your account
Delete your account any time from Profile → Delete account in the app, or on the account deletion page. This removes your login, password, app-activity history and feedback.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, and to withdraw consent. Email pavan.m@vedantu.com.
